Música con Amigos

View Event Recap

The second annual Música Con Amigos celebrated music, culture, and community in partnership with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. The evening featured an inspiring collaboration between the orchestra and a talented local Latin band, blending classical and Latin rhythms into a vibrant, one-of-a-kind performance.

Attendees enjoyed a spectacular fusion of music, connected with fellow arts and culture enthusiasts, and celebrated the diversity and creativity of the community. Whether new or returning, guests left inspired by this joyful tradition and the power of music to bring people together.

La Coalition's 35th Anniversary

Celebrating 35 Years of Impact

This year, the Latin American Coalition (LAC) proudly marks 35 years of service, resilience, and dedication to building a more inclusive and vibrant community. Since 1990, LAC has supported the Latino community in immigration, education, youth development, economic empowerment, and cultural programs.

To celebrate this milestone, we brought together community members, leaders, and supporters to honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire a future full of possibility.

35th Festival Latinoamericano CLT

In 2025, we celebrated our roots and the rich diversity of our community at Ballantyne’s Backyard, welcoming over 14,000 attendees. Guests enjoyed La Plaza Latinoamericana with cultural displays, music, dance, and crafts, along with a fun Kids Zone made possible by our community partners. Families also experienced flavors from across Latin America, including Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and more.

This event was more than a festival—it was a joyful celebration of culture, unity, and community.

21st Annual Día de Muertos Festival

The 21st Annual Día de Muertos Festival took place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Camp North End as a free, family-friendly celebration honoring our ancestors and the vibrancy of Latin American culture through art, music, dance, and food.

Guests enjoyed live performances by Criss Cross Mango Sauce, Jazz Arts Charlotte, Alma de la Luna Dance Academy, Grupo Folklórico Encanto, Chinelos Carnavaleros de Charlotte, Mariachi Guadalupano, Grupo Argullo, and Alma Latina, along with the colorful Catrina Parade. The festival also featured community altars (ofrendas), a Kids Zone with hands-on activities, authentic food vendors, traditional art installations, calaveras literarias, and opportunities to join the Catrinas parade.

This annual tradition once again brought our community together in remembrance, celebration, and cultural pride.
