"My name is María Elena Blackwell, I am originally from Honduras, and in 2024 I came to the Coalition with two clear objectives: to find ways to help our community and to seek employment opportunities. I was referred to the Economic and Workforce Development (EWC) department, where I shared my concerns and received detailed information about various programs, such as the Workers' Rights workshop and assistance with creating my resume. I decided to take advantage of these resources to strengthen my professional profile and, simultaneously, I began volunteering at the EWC. Thanks to this experience, I met partner organizations and successfully secured a job in 2025 with one of them: Buenas Finanzas Carolinas. To this day, I am infinitely grateful to God for this opportunity and I have a deep appreciation for the support and constant guidance I received from the Coalition's EWC."
